All mine would be *wrong* wild-azz guesses so I will just bring the :lurk: and see what the real answers are. Alright trivia wizards? And NO Google cheating.
#1 Sepulveda BLVD in L.A. between S.F. valley and Santa Monica.
#3 is a 413 S/S dodge
#4 is a 32 ford coupe
409's originated as a 348 in 1958
I think the T-bird had a 312"... or maybe a 352.
Sorry I don't know them all
Those are correct. The 413 was quite a hot engine in the early 1960s. I believe it was called a wedge engine. Deuce is from the 2 in 32. The 409 came from the 348; and both had origins in truck applications. And I believe the T-Bird engine was indeed a 312cid.
Both the 348 and T-Bird were linked in the movie American Graffitee with Ronny Howard and Suzanne Sommers.
The 0-60 time for the GTO was 4.6 seconds. That is either nonsense or it was quite a car. Gotta Drive is not a well known song. I believe it was the musings of Jan and Dean with respect to the romance associated with racing in California in the early 1960s: boy, girl and race track. And whatever car was being driven must have been quite something: "I'm taching seven grand but its not enough...."
Dawg,
I pop those songs on the stereo about once a month. They remind me of kinder, gentler times when my only worry was where to find $3.00 to fill the gas tank. And the history assignment for school of course.

$3.00 for gas :skep:
If I had any change at all in my pocket I had enough to fill up my CB-160 Honda :D

>Jan and Dean-Dead Man's Curve Where is it?
Sunset and Vine is where they "come off the line"
>Jan and Dean-Little Old Lady from Pasadena What engine was in that Super Stock Dodge?
Since the song was from '64, it either has to be a 426 or a 383.
>Beach Boys-Little Deuce Coupe What is a deuce coupe?
'32 Ford Coupe
>Beach Boys-409 What was the origin of this engine? Hint: American Graffitti.
I think you're going for 1958 Impala, which had a 348ci. The 348 was enlarged to a 409ci, which was available in the Impala until mid-year '65, when it was replaced with the 396ci.
>Beach Boys-Fun Fun Fun What engine was in that T-Bird?
The Y-8 292ci or 312ci...since the song never mentions what year the T-bird was.

What engine was in that Super Stock Dodge?
If it was a '63 then it was a 413 Max Wedge with the factory crossram and two AFB carbs and cast iron headers.
I had one of the factory SS 413 cars and it came heater-radio-wiper delete and came from the factory with a B&M prepped push button trans and Super Sun Tach. I bought the car in 1986 and it had 606 miles on it and had never been titled for the street, it still had the MOS with it. HelluvCar
The song was written, recorded and based on a real lady in 1964 (who incidentally actually drove a '32 Ford roadster, but that's beside the point,) and the lyrics specify a "brand new shiny red super stock Dodge" which would indicate that the car was also a 1964.
