speedometer/speedo cable issue
well i got the car to stop dying in gear ...vacuum leak...
but my speedometer still doesn't work. It's a new cable and a new speedo. The speedo works and the cable is fine, what else could it be? with the cable plugged into the tranny i can spin it....is there something in the tranny that's broken? :rofl:

Pull the cable back out of the tranny. Reach up and pull the gear out of the tranny and inspect that gear. If it appears to be ok, put your finger into the hole and feel for the gear that is supposed to be on the output shaft. Mine came off its mooring and I had to take the tailshaft housing off to put it back into place. Hope this helps.
