Default corvetteworks update

Well, i have decided to dump the shop and used parts business. I was just not profitable, and way to much of a headache. I am going to stick to selling new parts only. I did just pick up al Knoch interiors and Ikerds as suppliers. I now have much lower prices on interior parts, and dirt cheap prices on suspension parts. I no longer have to pay the middle men like ecklers and corvette america anymore! :U I hope to have the website complete in the near future. That has been a very time consuming task! I am also going to be buying cars for resale. I am currently looking for cars that need interior restoration, mechanical work, or light restoration. All years.
For those of you that have sent requests for parts that were not ansewered i apologize. Shutting this business down, and moving out of my shop has left me little time to get on the computer. Fortunatly i am all done with that now. I now have alot more time for returning email requests.
Also, i have a fellow forum member and customer that needs a door shell down in florida. I sold him a 70 body that i still owe him a drivers door shell for. Unfortunatly i have exhausted my parts inventory. Does anyone down in that area have one?

Sorry to read the news. It is terribly difficult for the small shop/supplier to make a living these days. I am sure a Forum member will step in and help you with that door shell obligation....

I was never able to locate a 5 port pump for a reasonable price. I have put this off for so long that i dont remember what the original deal was anymore. I did buy 60.00 worth of steering column parts for that column. they are still sitting here.
This is exactly why i am getting out of this business. I suck with trying to stay organized with peoples used parts orders. It turned into to much for just me to handle. It was definatly not profitable enough to hire help either.
Between fedex breaking and losing your parts, and me not being able to locate stuff to replace them, you got screwed. This is why i am going to deal with just the new stuff. These kind od headaches are never an issue. Just come up with a value and i will try to get a check out to you.

Sorry to hear that Scott, that's truely a shame.

Guys, the website is a LOT of work, imagine putting an entire catalog inventory of parts in there, lots of typing there.

So that's it, then.....

I have copies of ALL of our correspondence, so I will come up with what you owe me.

Would you please send me whatever column parts you have and RETURN the Washer Pump I sent you that you never were able to get fixed?

It's a shame that you didn't have more success but it sounds like you are at least making a good business decision to re-focus your efforts. Best of luck to you.

I have got several emails asking about ordering parts outside of the website. Yes i am doing that. Email me what you are looking for, and i will give you a price. I can beat the prices of what the big catalogs are charging on most items. I am getting really good prices on the Al Knock interiors, and Ikerds suspension parts. I accept Visa and master card as well as money orders.

Ryan, i have tried hard to find a door for you. I have not come up with anything. If you look at the first post in this thread you will notice that i was asking the guys on this forum if anyone in your area had a door for you. I have not forgotten about you. Unfortunatly I have 2 customers that are upset with me. You and Paul with the wiper pump. I will make good on what you guys have coming. Unfortunatly finding a original 5 port washer pump, and a none rusty door in your area has turned out to be much more of a project then i expected.

Sott, you may want to try these guys...Parts Express, just west of Cleveland, 440-748-1500, they may have everything you need to settle up...you may have to reach into your pockets a little deeper, but that's the cost of conducting business, isn't it...

You may have ten excellent feedbacks, but all that is ruined by one negative. Do what you have to do to keep your name from being bashed and ruin any chance of a successful future business.

Scott,

I'm not upset, nor am I likely to bash your business. The '70 body you sold me is as close to immaculate as one could ever hope.

I'll gladly wait awhile for the door shell as long as you keep me in mind.

Ryan, i have a couple doors that i have located. The problem i have run into is shipping them to you. They want an arm and a leg to send then to you. I have been trying to find one down in your area. I am going to give it a little more time before i bite the bullet and ship one from up here.

George, thanks for the phone number. I agree with you. The fellow with the wiper motor problem was the victim of the broken and lost parts from fedex that i had mentioned a while back on the forum. They not only busted up parts, but they lost them when they were sent back for insurance inspection. Those aholes won't even pay the insurance claim to cover the parts!!
