trouble with spark plug wires
Last summer I rebuilt my 78 vettes engine, 350 ci. I replaced all the stock componenets with high performance ones, the cam shaft, clinder heads and pistons. After this, my spark splug wires started burning, the boots near the engine and the wire right below. So far, I've tried using ACC and MSD wires. After the last set burned I put the metal skirts on them, but they are 90 degree boots, so the skirts didn't cover all and the tops of the boots are now baking. They're hard and bubbled. Anyone know of any good wires that can withstand the heat? Thanks.

Sounds like you need ceramic boots, but I am curious as to why this started after your mods.
