rebuild Q-jet

Does "lars" still rebuild q-jets? With all the great feedback about how good they work after he touches them I'm more inclined to go with that.

I talked with LARS just a few months ago via e-mail and he said he had to stop the rebuilds because he sold his test car. To bad, I got his recurve kit and was hoping for the carb job. In the mean time I installed the secondary fuel tube mod and re jetted the carb and have been very happy with it.

oh yes. The LARS recurve kit. It includes new springs, actually 3 different spring sets if I remember correctly and new weights. The design point is to bring in the mechanical advance as soon as possible, depending on if you get detonation or not. I have mine setup so all of the advance (mechanical and vacume) comes in just before 2500 rpm.

This is a Lars C3 HEI kit.

I just checked the doc on this kit and Paul is right. It comes with shims, a custom vacuum advance, 2 weights and 2 calibrated advance springs.
