C3, L.E.D.'s ANyone converted yet?
Just wondering if anyone has converted from the standard bulbs to the L.E.D.'s available out there?
I have been considering doing it as the bulbs in my 77 are a little on the Dim side.

I replaced my tail light bulbs with the led's about a year ago and they are OK. Have a little different look to them and maybe just a little brighter.

I put the 'Stylin Concepts' 1157 direct replacement LED's in my 69 rear lights about a year ago and I really like them Very bright and fast.
One comment, though, if your standard bulbs are dim, then you may have connection issues (either ground or 12v).

Ya I figured that as well and I will be going through the system when I get a chance to make sure all is well.

I'm in the middle of a complete rebuild. Part of it is to eliminate the back up lights and go with a four way brake/tail light system.
I found a super neat set of clear white chrome LED lights that will fit in with a chrome bezel cover for the rubber fittings.
The fiberglass was cut to allow the mod, and I have all four slots trimed and test fitted.
The lights are white lens, with chrome insides, and shine red when lit.
The mods are on a 70 with shallow lights, and the mod I did will not effect the use of the standard lenses, or the housings.
You shouldn't have to do this mod unless you have a chrome bumper vette, the later c3's with rubber bumpers have deaper slots for the lights.
Total cost for lights, bezels, rubber fittings, and connectors: $179.00
I'll post picures when I can.
