They are great for a race only car, but very impractical for a street car.

I have been running the CSI electric water pump in my car since February. It pumps approximately 37 GPM. So far no problems what so ever. It keeps the car running nice and cool and it will be a tremendous asset when the temperatures hit the low 100's in Phoenix.

It cost me a little bit more money but at this point I have no complaints.

how much do you run it, short cruz, long, highway? and what about time?
i know they have somrthing like 2500 hr. rating . I found a in line 12v pump
rated for 40 gph and 20psi, i asd about run hrs time warrented for 4000hrs
i didn't jump on this, the pump is for a construction engine i was working on
the cool part was the high temp. eng. kill at 230 deg.

My car is not a daily driver. When I do drive the car, it is alot of highway driving. And I've run it up to 4 to 5 hours at a time, here and there.

Thus, the 2500 hour rating is not an issue for me and the pump will last me a long time. Plus the extra performance it delivers, which includes an additional gain in HP. For me it was worth a try.

I have a friend with a 94 LT1 camaro and he has one. Several 300 mile trips and no problems. He probably has at least 10,000 miles on it over about 3 years. Not a daily driver, but it does get driven long trips.

i think i'll look back into doing a set-up,
I am also going to try one at some point. I have heard lotsa "my friend" and "I used to" stuff, but don't actually KNOW someone who has tried one. Let us know how it works out if you do. It is really not that much in the grand scheme of things, and I for one, want to know if EVERY product on the market works well, and for what application. Good Luck. -Chuck
