Tire Revs Per Mile?
I have to get new tires for my '77, and if there's one thing I learned with the '72 we used to have is that compared size to size, different manufacturer's tires turn different revs per mile.
Can anyone tell me what my '77 should be turning? The old size number doesn't see much use any more. I think it was an F70/15, but I'm not sure. If I'm lucky enought that one of you has the factory manual, that should have it in there.

Well Wendel,
There are 5280 feet per mile x 12 inch per foot = 63360 inches per mile
If you find the circumference of the tire you can determine the revolutions per mile.
So measure the tire all the way around, or measure the height and multiply by pi=3.14 to get the circumference.
For instance if the tire is 30" tall you get
63360/(30x3.14) = 672.6 tire revolutions per mile.
