Default Glove box lock

I am reinstalling the glove box lock in my 79. When installing it I must have incerted it in about 30 degrees to the right(clockwise). It sticks out about 3/8 of a inch from flush.I can't seem to get it removed the normal way. Anybody have any ideas.

There are some great instructions on the net. You have to ensure that all of the tumblers "reengage". When you install it the easiest way is to insert the key and it should go all the way together. Otherwise take a scribe throught the littel hole on the side and press the tumblers down as you reinsert it.

I must have installed it off center. Instead of the handle being 9 and 3 it's at 10 and 4. It sticks out 3/8 of and inch. I tried to remove it with the key in but no luck. I think with it not lined up with prawn that you press in to release it you can't push in on the prawn to release it.
