Default th350c

I have a 1980 and am pretty sure it has a 350c tranny, I would really love to know the difference between the th350. Are the 1,2,3 ratios the same and will a th350 3000 stall work on the th350c. What is the difference between lock up and non lock up converters, wich is the 350c. Thanks, JOHN :seeya

Going by memory here so don't take this as the absolute truth....

These transmissions are very, very nearly identical. As I recall the only differences are a couple of internal passages in the case, a slightly different valve body and the inclusion of a 4 plug wiring harness on the (I think) right side of the 350C.

Yes, the gear ratios are identical.

The stock converters shared only one component that I recall - the hub that drives the pump. No they cannot be interchanged, they are altogether different designs. The most meaningful difference in the converters was the inclusion of a lock up clutch in the one for the 350C.
