Fuel feed problem
I finally located & removed & replaced the fuel pump relay on my '82 CE.I hit the ignition and fuel sprayed from both nozzles.I waited for the engine to start,but it did not.I need your thoughts on why the injector nozzles would cut off after a few seconds.Do I have a short?If so how do I try to locate it? Thanks in advance for your anticipated responses.

You need to know whether the pressure goes down or whether the injectors shut down. The fuel pump is energized for a couple of seconds when you first turn the key. If the car does not start and there is no oil pressure the pump will turn off. I would check the pressure switch operation.
