Window regulator spring removal, how?
How do I remove the spring from the window regulator? The pivot is somewhat bound up, and I want to disassemble it to fix it. I did a serch and didn't find anything that said how to relieve tension on the spring.

If the regulator is completely removed you can relax the spring tension as mentioned above. I was able to do a very decent job on mine without removing the spring by getting some oil on the pivot and working it a little. Use a small paint brush to coat all moving parts with white grease when re-assembling. I used a wire wheel to remove any rust on all the parts. Be careful, there is enough energy stored up in that regulator spring to either hurt you or do some damage.
