Hello everyone,
Well, tonight I finally pulled the engine and trans out of my '72. We pulled them out as a complete unit and it went pretty smooth. The engine is on the stand for at least a few weeks before I can get to it. In the mean time, I am planning a complete front suspension rebuild and cleaning/detailing the engine bay. After that, I will get started on the engine and trans rebuild.
My goal is to have all of the major mechanicals either rebuild or replaced by spring 2004 then begin body and interior. At least then I can drive it even if it ain't pretty.
Sounds like your heading down the same path as me although your taking a little bit different route. Bite in and Chew down... Good Luck and remember to share some pictures.
Thanks for the encouragement everyone. Yep...there may be a few "minor" hop-ups in the future. This is a numbers matching car so, I am probably not gonna get too wild...maybe. I do not have pics to put online yet, but some are comming. I have taken pics of this project from day one( when it rolled of the rollback with green moss growing on it).
