It was the optional 350 egnine offered from '73-'82? replaced the LT-1 in '73. It's a very good motor. We took a '75 L-82 rated at 205 hp and added a XE268 cam,WP sportsman heads,RPM intake, headers, and Rebuilt Q-Jet to push it to about 380-400 hp. Great bottom end- 4 bolt mains, pink rods, windage tray& pan, steel crank and forged flat top pistons.

Higher performance optional small block engine from 1973 until 1980. HP ranged from a high of 250 in 73 and 74 to a low of 205 in 75. HP was back up to 230 when discontinued in 80. The base engine that came standard was the L-48. HP for L-48 ranged from 165 to 195 depending on year.

Of the C3 corvettes produced with the 350 engine from the years 1973 thru 1981 there were two engine equipment options. The L48 and the L82. The L82 was a higher performing version which included aluminum intake and valve covers, a higher performance camshaft, and higher compression. Those were the main things. There may be a few others but I cant recall right now.
