Will modifying stock heads ruin the value?
If I took a numbers matching head from a 454, ported/polished and rebuilt it with bigger valves, springs, and roller rockers, would it ruin the value?

It's hard to check internal work, but ultimately anything done to your Vette that is not 100% factory has the risk of decreasing the value.

Forget it then, I won't risk it. I'll just get aftermarket heads when the time comes.
Any mods I do, I want to be able to put the car back together in original condition.
