First off, the word at dad's hot rod shop is that Boyd Jr. is out of the family business. The word on the street (the street where Jr's BC Motorsports WAS located) is that Coddington Jr. is now working for Weld Racing in Kansas City, MO (hopefully not in the accounting dept.) The word at Boyd Coddington Wheels is business as usual (so why haven't I placed an order for 4 more wheels...). I mean money back or no money back, I still have to have wheels; right? Well, I'm shopping again and I shopped a long time the first go round. Seems like every time I find a style I like, it's not available in the width/offset combination I want. I like American Racing's CL200S (that's the 200S with grey spokes)
but 17 x 9-1/2 with 5-1/2" back spacing ain't gona work. I called and asked if they'd do a custom back space; nope only the Torque Thrust II or the Hopster (who named that?). I like the TT2s (especially the CL205s like ZWEDE has) but the TT2 is just getting to be too common. So what do ya'll think about the Hopster
I can't remember who but somebody in this forum has Hopsters on their car in their signature pic. I think Hopsters look GREAT on a C3. Also, they are not as common as TTII's so they stand out more.

I'm sure they make the 200S in 17x8 with a 4" backspacing, maybe not with the grey spokes...so do what I did with the 15" 200S, I masked out the center of the wheel, got a scotch pad, scuff the area and then prime and paint it yourself...I used the duplicolor wheel paint and it came out great. You coudl even get then powder coated if you know someone with a big enuff oven (thats all AR do i think)
