OT-Customer service
Earlier today I called a Texico station 2 blocks from my house that I have noticed has several Vettes, 2 C3's a C4 and a couple hot 65-67 stangs that go their for service so I decided to call and see if they'l work on the 68's distributer problem. Well after going over the problem he said bring it over and I asked him when could you get to it.. and he said "well it's not my prioity so whenever I can"
What's that about? How about...."Sir I'm backed up for now but I could start on..let's see my apointment book"

I would give him a chance to be a real Ahole before I slammed him for that exhange. Maybe he didn't express himself in the best way, but there is nothing wrong with priorities. He didn't say how he sets them, whether it is friends first, highest paying customers first, or simply in the order received. My mechanic has about 50% restoration work which probably generates 75% of his income. A couple of summers ago I needed an emergency clutch replacement (I was too burned out to even attempt it) and he gave me a very fast turnaround. He explained that they always give priority to DRIVERS, since the restorations take years anyway, those guys can wait another week or two! :lol: MJ
