I read in a thread sometime back that some people put high-density foam under their tires during winter storage to prevent flat spotting. I decided to go ahead and try it, and put 2" high-density house foam under the tires.
As I look at it, it looks like the suspension is compressed slightly due to the foam under the tires. I got to thinking, is it worse off for the suspension to be compressed slightly than the benefits of putting the foam under the tire?
If you put the same thickness foam under all four tires, I don't see how you could "force" more of the cars weight over any one corner of the car. The suspension shouldn't be more compressed than when it sits on the garage floor unless its a little unsettled from jacking it to put the foam under the tire?
