This has been beat to death on here but, what do you recommend for all around use. I'm looking for a good ride, handling, etc.. I've narrowed it down to KYB's or Bilstein. The $ for KYB's are about $27, how much for Bilstein's and if they are twice as much, are they worth it for average driving?
You can get the Bilsteins for $250 for all four, so about $62.50 each. I have no personal experience with either, but most people seem to like the Bilsteins much more. By the way, I really need to check out your car sometime!
Do a search on shocks in the C3 section. I posted in a few threads lately and the Bilstiens are the way to go. Don't look back, just buy them and you will be a happy camper...like this guy :D . Here is the latest thread--- http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=700203
I've got AC Delco Reactrec shocks on my car, they are about $30 a piece and are supposed to be very close to the shocks that came on cars with F41 suspension. I used to know the part numbers, but I can't find my notes on them. I like them a lot.
