Is there a big difference in the amount of frame flex. between a 1978 t-top and a 1975 vert? I have noticed while pulling into my driveway, the 78 t-top is sound as a pound, with very little flex. Yet my 75 vert. twists so much you can feel it in the seat. any ideas?

Re: Does my frame flex too much. (JBR)
I installed the Vette Brakes Spreader bar in my vert and it seemed to stiffen some of this flex. I was really surprised by the difference. I guess the vert has to flex more because we are missing quite a bit of support the coupe guys have.
I agree that it sounds like you have some rot issues in your vert. I was surprised how little support that t-bar would offer when we cut one off a 76 and turned it into a vert. . I didn't notice any difference in flex btn when it was a coupe vs when we put a 73 vert rear on it.
Can the spreader bar be used with the front monospring?
yes
all c-3 frames have too much flex. even like-new frames. throw in a little rust or, even worse, alot of rust, and you'd be just as well off with 2x4 framerails.
