Default new to this and need help

Ok i forked off my honda for a vette and i am looking for a 77 or 74 type of vette. I am not worried about the smog laws so what do you guys think would be better to build for serios street speed...any information is greatly appreciated....i plan on either turbo or supercharger and if i go with an auto trans ill do bth nitrous and a supercharger......let me know guys....thanx

Welcome to the forum. i would go with the 74. i believe that year didnt have cats and just rip out the AIR pump since they dont work anyway. if you need help this is the place to go to. good luck

thank you i also need to know what to look for when buying these things.....i used to be a z guy so i know the floor pans rust out, dashes are hrad to remove and the trunk usually has hidden rust anything you guys could tell me would be great....thanx again

I think there is a good buying guide on corvettefaq.com... One tell tail sign of rust is the radiator support. If I could do it all over again I would look at 3 before I even planned on buying 1 then you'll get the idea of whats what... and hopefully what its worth. I would say to def go with the 74 compared to the later.
