Short-term lease. Not a real Corvette "owner." A real Corvette enthusiast would not go out in that weather.

Hey now, watch it. If any Vette should be stuck in the snow it should be the dime-a-dozen C5. C4's are getting more rare.

Plus, the c5's the most likely not to get kissed by it. as long as the salter doesn't come by

Re: Wrong place @ the Wrong time (Juliet)
Juliet,
Great to hear from you! It's been a long time. Downhill ice-skating?? That's scary ;) . The fact of the matter is that the wide tires on most Corvettes are not suited to snow/ice driving. Believe it or not, an old 7.75-15 is a better choice as it concentrates vehicle weight on a larger contact patch of the tire. Remember that at any given time only about 2" of a tire is in contact with the road. If the weight is focussed on 8" rather than 12" then one gets better grip. And I have ignored tread characteristics for that comparison.

Growing up in the midwest and dealing with the lousy winter weather, 20 years ago I moved to Cali.and have NOT touched the snow since. We always bought a $200 junker for the winter. All it needed was a GOOD battery, GOOD heater and studded tires.

P.S. Are those dealer plates on there?
