replacing my throttle cable
im putting in a new throttle cable today, wish me luck, it looks like im going to need it.
I got some good info on putting in a lokar cable via c3 sharktank that will help with my transdapt cable

hmm judging by how much this post has moved im going to say the forum is real slow today
Oh and it wasnt half as bad as it osunded to be, but i could see how you older guys whould hate being upside down and twisted, im just 18 :)

what length cable do you get, and how well does it fit the stock hole in the firewall?

i bought a 4 foot version from Trans-Dapt
It works really well, but there is a hole in the fire wall because it doesnt come with a plug like thing for it. I really only used about 12 inches of it though. The top of the pedal arm is right about level with the carb inkage and just to the drivers side a bit. I think my stock cable had more wrong with it than i think because of the way it was put on. When i pulled out of my driveway i taped the gas as i normally do to get out of the driveway onto the road. The car damn near spun around :yesnod: I was a very plaesed man. Not to mention it pulles them open a bit more, definitly had more power, did my first 2nd gear chirp with the 275s, t350 and 3.08 rear. The stock one had been put on in a very odd way by me when i put the edlebrock carb on.
This L48 definitly liked it, never thought a throttle cable would be a performance mod but cause of how the onld one was on the linkaage is pulled at faster ratio and opens more.
