Well, it seems that every travel holiday sees an increase at the pumps.
Not so for me this morning. Luckily, my wife reminded me that every year
on 12/24 - our local gas station has a sale for most of the day.
The discount is on Regular only, but that's OK with me. Check it out: $1.09/gal !!
Up 5 cents a gallon here too! The bastiches!!! They did it a Thanksgiving too, the morter forkers!!! I just filled up my pickup at 135.9 a gallon for regular unleaded! The som britches!!! :mad
Texas seems much cheaper then most places... I'm from Seattle, home of the 1.79/gal for the cheap stuff, then I drove through Cali, my goodness, 1.99/gal for the cheap stuff? Then I come here, 1.39/gal for the cheap stuff.... Nice...

The oil companies figure if you can afford $400,000 homes with 1500 sq ft you can afford $1.99 regular.
I filled up for $1.45 Wednesday here in Northern California. Kinda nice to see that we are not getting screwed as bad this year as in previous years. Maybe OPEC is afraid of Arnold (lol) ;)
Here in Northern NJ, the prices have been falling a penny or two every couple weeks since they peaked in the 1.70's for regular during the summer. Now the cheapie stations are in the high 1.30's/low 1.40's with the majors a bit more than that.
And no additional gouging during the holidays this year either. What a pleasant surprise!
