Acetone for thinning fiberglass resin
For base coat paint I just get a recommendation from the paint store. The type (chemical and "speed") of the thinner will be based on the paint, what you are trying to do, and the weather. For your little bottle of paint, your probably best off just adding a little lacquer thinner or take it to the paint shop and see if they will add a little dab of thinner for you.
