If we are talking about drive shaft loops I have had one in my car for years. It is alumimum and I put plates inside the car under the carpet so the driveshaft loop could be bolt to it.

JoeC427 - Does a piece of straight flat stock qualify for NHRA? The way I read it is a loop made of 1 X 1/4 mild steel minimum.

I used a Competition Engineering universal driveshaft safety loop kit.
We then made plates out of alum. and bolted it through the floorboard.
It is basicly the same installation as Norval's with different materials.
