Unless you're changing to something new ensure they're exactly the same. Lay the new one next to the old one and go over them both to match that they are in fact the same. Also, before you start, stop by the auto parts store for some new vacumn lines and that you have enough gaskets for the airhorn and carb base plate.
Thanks guys. I am replacing the carb with the same kind. I'm on my way out to the garage now.
Make sure the Garage is well vented. I have a gas furnace and water heater in the garage. I turn them off just to make sure they don't kick on a potentailly spark.
Thanks Robert. I don't have any gas operated appliances in the garage. I had the garage door wide open when I removed the carb. It came off pretty easy. This is a warranty issue so I had to take this one off in order to get them to give me a replacement.
