Its been awhile since I've been on the forum, been busy with school and the such. I have noticed a problem recently with my 77 (its got a brand new edelbrock carb on it). After sitting for a couple days, I can start the car on the first turn of the ignition, but I have to give it a little gas or else it will stall. I haven't had to do this before, and was just wondering if an adjustment needs to be done. Next, after it runs for a while, when I turn the ignition key to the off position, the car diesels for around 10 seconds and then finally dies. If I start it again and run if for another while, it won't do it when I turn it off. Any suggestions? (Sorry for the looong message) Thanks everyone!
and to rich, (fuel still going in after ign. off)
you could have some carbon build-up in combustion cambers, a hot spot can light it off after shut down.
