For those that don't understand why body shops take so long?? Well, let me tell you that stripping a vette body isn't easy..it takes time, you got to watch the lines and curves, because fiberglass is soft. Btw, i'm doing all the work myself and spending about 30 hours a week on it. I wish i could spend more time, but with school and work, I try to get in what i can. All the work is being done at a friend's body shop..so i got the right tools and tricks. I told myself that i'd never do this again, and media blasting is the only way to go. I hope to be finished with the whole car including 3 coats of primer, base and clear by the end of next week.
gtr, I've been using a DA with 80 grit on almost all the flat spots or anyplace i know i won't hurt...as for the edges, and corners, i use hand sanding..then i go over places i know that are low with filler and block the whole car before epoxy..
Flareside, its been about 3 weeks now...so yes, its very time consuming...i would look into media blasting...if i had to do it over again, i would have researched it more and had it done that way. Also, with this project, i want a absolutely STRAIGHT body...all the seams and waves from the factory are not going to be there or at least as obvious..thats my main goal.

Re: Stripped 69 PICS (74-Roadster)
Make sure you keep us posted on your progress. The more pics the better, at least for me. Trying to remove all of the factory lines will make for a super nice car when finished. Keep up the good work.
