Hood Insulation???

Hood Insulation???
I got a nice fresh piece of hood insulation from Mid America for Christmas... the only problem is... I don't know which side faces the engine.
Anybody know if it's the flat black side down (toward engine)... or the light color fluffy insulation side down.

I have a 75 and about 8 months ago I installed new hood insulation. I put the black side (solid) facing the engine and the grey side facing the hood. The clips fits better and more securely with that configuration......
