Default frame help

What years have the shock in the square tube in the back of the frame for the bumper, mine is a 78 someone said a 74 frame would work.

'75 to '79 took the same bumper(basically, other than '75 had individual letters spelled out), but the '74 had these "bumper impact slides". A '74 rear frame is like a '68-'73 back there. The '75-'79 is quite different back there. I've compared my '74 & '75 and they are different. The '74 looks more like my '68s except for those "bumper impact slides" I mentioned earlier.

thank you . some say 75 to 79 will work ,but the interchange book said 78 & 79 only.

I know 75-79 will work.... they are identical.... not sure about the later 80-82's
