I have a 78 with a walnut steering wheel, no horn contacts or anything and I'm still acquiring parts and info. 1st thing, find a drawing of the steering column that you have. Your GM dealer should be able to photo one for you. Then find out what parts are missing. :cheers:

Most likely its something broken in your steering column. Just order the horn rebuild kit from Corvette Central, you get all the parts for around $30. Don't do the job 3-4X replacing a part at a time like one idiot I know :rolleyes:

Before you go tearing into the steering column horn wiring, check obvious things like the fuse. If it's good, disconnect the horn wire and connect a volt meter. Then have someone depress the horn switch at the wheel. If you've got power at the wires, then the horn is defective. If you don't have power, work backwards, checking for power in the wires back toward the switch. Be sure to check the horn relay, too.

Many thanks. If I don't get this fixed, I can't get my inspection stickerin Texas. Unless, of course, I go to a "Vette guy" who works at a place to get inspections. :blueangel:
