First timer on the dragstrip
You definitely need to get that clutch fixed. I recommend the Centerforce Dual Friction, it's what I installed before heading to the track and I was able to hold 3,000 RPM then release the clutch and got NO slippage. My tires were the BFGoodrich Comp T/A R1's
and they stuck like glue. But, although you can still get a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch BFGoodrich no longer makes the R1's. Instead I recommend the Dunlop SP Sport 8000's
which come in a 245/ZR50-15. This tire has a treadwidth just as large as the current BFGoodrich Radial T/A 275/SR50-15's, but a tighter sidewall for better cornering. The Dunlops will keep your car on the move on or off the track. But, of course...most important part is HAVE FUN!!!
