After installing my trailing arms my rear wheels look to be slanting outward at the top. What do I need to adjust to get a little closer to straight up and down to get to alignment shop?
Have you driven the car yet? The car must be moved for the suspension to settle in to place after being jacked up. If you still have the tires out at the top after driving around the block then you can adjust the lower control rods at the bottom of the diff.
Get a 4 wheel alignment done at a shop that can do the entire car at one time. Do not go to a shop that does a front wheel alignment then backs the car in to the bay to align the rears.
I have driven around the block a few times and have a shop to go to when finished with a few other things. Just wanted it to be a little closer to right before i took it over there since it is about 20 miles away :auto:
Wow - expected someone that replaced the evil trailing arms to know how to
adjust after.
OK - if you have stock strut rods, follow them from the lower shock mount
up to the bracket at the bottom of the differential. Here they mount with
an eccentric setup. The washers on the outsides should have a 'cam'
shape. By loosening the nut and turning the bolt slightly, you should be able
to adjust the strut rod further out - making the bottom of the wheel push out
and the top pull in. You won't need to adjust it much.
With adjustable strut rods, they adjust like the front steering linkage. Loosen
the lock nuts and turn the center tube to make longer/shorter.

should say "someone stupid enough to replace evil trailing arms"
And thanks for the replies. As I think about it now (not being at home where the car is) I think I have them adjusted all the way in. Thanks again. :D :D
