Locker rear
Has anyone ever put a locker in their vette. I put one in one of my camaros. It was the powertrax style so all it did was replace the spider gears in the open carrier.
I want to put the same thing in my 79 vette but am unsure of how it would work with the independent rear and I would also have to find an open carrier which is something that was not put in vettes as far as I know.
I am pretty set on getting a locker so trying to dissuade me with opinions of posi vs locker don't matter much. I liked the locker in the camaro since it was 50/50 power in a straight line whersas with the posi it's a little more theoretical. :rant:
I just need to know the technical possiblities since vettes don't really have c-clips their more like rings I would say. Any input will be apprecaited.
