Cleaning the Alternator Case
What's the way to cleanup the alternator housing (factory '78). I just sent it out to be rebuilt and cleaned. It came back a lot better, but not what I wanted for $55. Maybe it's as good as it going to get...

I tore my alternator all the way down in the garage and then sandblasted the case at work. Then I took the case and had it powder coated black. Turned out pretty nice like that. :thumbs:

I had the shop sandblast it, it's better, but not mint. I want to leave it factory looking. I'm going to put it back in this weekend, so I have some time to hand clean it. I did have my valve covers, alum. intake, & fan powdercoated... :D
