Here's a pic of a genuine 69 Baldwin Motion Vette........Joel Rosen, the owner of Motion Performance, offered body kits for Phase III and Maco Sharks in the hot rod magazines during the '70's......I don't think you could get the hood from him now and I don't know if anyone is reproducing them......definitely cool hood though

the corvette i was looking at was the exact one, and does this meen i will have to make one??
you may have to......I don't think many of these Vettes end up at the wreckers :)
.......I haven't looked at that photo for a long time......now you've got me interested in that hood.......maybe we should go halves in the BM Vette and forget about trying to make a hood  ........
I don't know the actual person that owns the molds now, but I've heard that the guy that owns them charges $1500 a pop for a new BM hood.
WTF man, that is rediculous... :nonod: :nonod:
I love that Motion hood. Almost two years ago I posted the same question, and someone threw me a link. I lost the link though when my hardrive melted months later. I do know there is a manufacturer that makes them. The maker also built other specialty hoods for Camaros and the like and that's all I can remember. Let's keep this thread hanging around and see if the guy who gave me the tip notices. -That is if he's still on the forum. I'll be sure to let you know if I find out anything more. Oh yeah and I seem to remember it was much cheaper than $1500-
I emailed Joel Rosen about this several months ago and he either said still has the molds or still has some hoods. I can't remember. He did said I could have one for $1500, though.
buy an L88 hood and put a stinger scoop on it...same thing...
Actually, the BM hood is an LT1/BB hood originally with that scoop fiberglassed on top. Starting out with a L88 would gain you some additional clearance though.
BTW I found one on ebay a couple of months ago that I can't wait to get fixed up, on the car, and painted. I paid quite a bit less than $1500 too. :D
