$1500 may actually be cheap. There is a 68 Baldwin Motion Vette on Ebay right now with a "buy it now" price of $149,900 (Item 260655480308).
A $1500 hood (or any price for that matter) plus all the other "Motion" stuff I've accumulated and added to my vette still won't make it fetch $149,000, or anywhere near that. Some guys have "catalog cars" that they may feel are authentic because they bought the stuff back in the day when Motion was selling it. It's still a clone, either way, and will never get near a $100K. I guess I can call mine an "internet car".
I love the motion look and mystique, and am enjoying building my tribute to that era. The beauty of my clone, ooops...triubute, is that I can "drive it like it's stolen" any day of the week and not worry about a rock or all that burnt rubber building up under the rear.

Reason: spelling stinks
You need to make your own. It's just a stock big block hood with a 67 stinger scoop on top. You do need to remove the indents in the ft part of the stock hood. I made this one for my 69.
I just saw an orig. one at Carlisle this past week end. The underside was terrible.

Very nice work, love the black on gold orginal look. Good tip on what scoop to use as well. Love the Ansen Sprint wheels! How many hours you think the glass work was? Did you fill the indents, or cut them out and re-glass?
Here's where I'm at with my build...

I cut the indents out and glassed them in. Riverside Gold is the orig. color of this car. I love the black on gold also. This was my plan for the car from the beginning.
It took a good days work to do the hood. But I own a body shop. So it's no big deal for me.
This got a frame off rebuild and is only a hot rod.
I've built many big block cars in the past and still a small block is my favorite. This one is also a small block. The car was not finished at the time of this pic. The valve covers now have the Motion emblems on
If SHOME does'nt want to get rid of his. I also have one hanging in my garage. It's off my 69 I redid. I opted for the L88 look instead. But I did strip the stinger hood and prime it hung it up on the wall
Which stinger will fit on a L88 hood? Before painting this one, I want to add the stinger. And pay no attention to my father in this picture, it wasn't THAT big of a fire. Thanks!
I realize the person making them can set his (or her) own price at $1500 or whatever, but if they would cut that price in half they would still make money and sell a Buttload of hoods.
