Not sure of the difference (if any) in my '79 but I bought a set of Infinity Kappa 4x6 plates. After a little snipping of the plate itself, it fits tight & snug, no need to even screw them down.

http://www.crutchfield.com has plenty of diff sizes of speakers to mess with plus when you buy stuff from them you get new connectors for free with purchase.

got some polk audio's on sale at crutchfield a couple of weeks ago. fit fine. would rather put them in the kick panel though. am going to attempt once i get around to it

I did of seach on ebay for 4 X 6 Spekers there many to choose from some new some used. I ended up buying a set of used Polk audio set for $25. Only problem was that they were deeper then the stock one I had to put some spacers under them to keep them from pushing down on instrument bezel :flag
