Default Spark Plug Wires

I was told by my mechanic that the better spark plug wires are made by Auto-Lite and Borg Warner Nascar Series. I am looking for a set that is the same diameter as stock. What do you guys think?

The important items are siral wound metal conductor core , at least 7mm silicone insulation jacket - not just silicone coated. Pently of low priced but good enough wires for street performance sold at most stores now. Pep boys has good wires but the 8.5mm silicone is overkill and won't fit into my wire clips. I don't think you need to spend over $50 for race wires and expect to see any difference on street or strip.
Need to insulate them from headers though. Header heat will ruin new wires fast and can be very hard to see/find. Also vulconizing the boots is supposed to prevent water seapage and grounding. :yesnod:

For cheap wires I use the Bosch one you can get at Autozone or places like that. For my Vette I have Taylor Spiral Pro wires that are really nice, and so far have worked flawlessly. I believe a few other people here run Taylor wires also.

Go to Pep-Boys and ask for Borg Warner Select. These are the best wires I've run on my 71. Only wires where the boots hold up. They are spiral core and very reasonably priced. I paid $45 for mine.
