1969 400hp tri-power
Guys, I just wanted to get your input on a 69 tri-power coupe for an investment. Excellent paint and inteior, T.I., 4speed,posi. excellent frame for $20,000
Documented 58,000 miles with protect-o-plate.
The only negative is the motor has been rebuilt and the deck restamped with the right numbers but apparently the wrong font size. However it is the origional block.
Let me know what you think.

That eng re-stamp makes me :skep: . With 58,000 miles why was it rebuilt and more importantly why was it decked then stamped incorrectly. :skep:

Heck, even with a wrong motor if the car is clean clean, it is probably worth the money. By the way, cars are not a good investment. Drive the car.

I agree with both Fevre and Loflite. The restamp is a drawback & would make me doubt the milage on the car & the originality of the block. You may want to check the build date on the block and see if it's appropriate to the build date on the car.
On the other hand, $20K is pretty good for a tripower car, even if it's NOM.
