fitting hedman headers
Own a '76 4-speed vette and was wondering if there is any concern in
fitting headers on the driver's side, specifically the clutch lever&shaft
assembly. thanx wade

You will need to remove the z-bar to install the headers..this is really easy to do so I wouldnt worry about it. clearance wise there is tons of room for the hedmans....On my install in the 78..the only place it was tight was on the passenger side where one tube just touched the boot on the idler arm pivot, a slight dimple was placed there to give me about 1/8" clearance..other than that the install went real easy.
I installed mine form below the car as there is lot more room down there to do that. some have claimed to install from above...frankly it wasnt happening on my car..but from below was easy enough.
