Couple of months ago in one the car mags there was an article or blurb about an ignition/timing module that was banned from pro drags because it would detect rapid rise in rpm and automatically adjust timing which supposedly "detuned" the engine so traction could be maintained. Thought it to be a great idea. Just don't remember the manuf. or part #. Anybody familiar with this item
BigBux item... Look on Ebay under traction control. I know guys are building them into the red MSD 6A boxes to hide them. Some are even cell phone activated.
If you find a cheap version, let me know as I would love to own one myself!!!
I have often thought that possibly a two stage rev limiter or time delay ignition advance could be a poor mans solution and I plan to work on that theory this spring.
cheapest one i found was 2500, installed inside of a msd 6al box
step up was 3500 and it was the one i beleive that is activated by calling it with a cell phone.
hell id be happy if i had the kind power problems that require traction control
