Remember about 6-8 months ago I was posting about overheating problems and such ?!?
Well, just a recap, it's solved ! ....unfortunately this is the one rare time that the anwswer did not come from the forum which is why I didn't post at the time.
After replacing the radiator, the overflow, re-routing the heater hoses (bypass)......refilling & purging the entire cooling system (abt. 4 times).
Adding a fan shroud which has been missing since the day it was bought.
Trying all types of mixtures of water / antifreeze / water wetter.....etc.
Changing the fan clutch.....and I can't even remember what else.
And REMOVING the T-stat (which I still do NOT have in there - contrary to some it's a wives tale that the lack of the T-stat causes the water to flow too quickly  )
Nope - none of the above.....try this >>> The FAN
Yep, I replaced the fan with a stainless flex type 7-blade from Summit......with no stinkin' clutch ~ problem solved. ;)
Why ?
The old fan was severly out-of-balance with 2 cracked blades.......I can't imagine why it didn't work well.... :banghead:
Why is it that the 'simplest' of things always seems to be hidden ???
The other thing to consider is the sealing foam that goes between the radiator and the support, and also the fan shroud and support. $5 worth of A/C window unit foam made all the difference.
