flowmasters
Ive got a 78 original vette and wanna upgrade just the mufflers on it. Im loking to get the 40 deltas but wanted to know what kinda sound and preformance incrase i will get outta these. I certainly dont want it to start sounding ricey, but i would like a nicer sound aswell.. What do yall think? :seeya

Im sure they are great, but that 68 has alot more HP than my 78. It already has a great sound, i just want it to keep that and add too it, not take away from it. Also, would i need to change any pipes or add fittings to stock pipes?

I have MAGNA FLOW on my 1980. The sound is terrific, deep and throaty, pure muscle!! I didn't have to make any changes, just bolt it on and go, and I gained more acceleration and tope end speed, but it is the sound that counts. I have 2.25 piping straight back.

Ya, I just put the MagnaFlows on my car and they sound terrific. I was worried when I got them and I could see right through it. But after hooking them up with 2.5" stainless from my headers they are actually quieter (at idle) than the no name turbo mufflers and 2" exhaust I had before. At open throttle they really sound nice as well.

When you guys says 40's, do you have the Delta 40's or the original 40's.....Flowmasters web site indicates the delta's are quieter. Are the original 40's that much different than the Deltas??? :confused:

Got orig 40's and love em. If you like to talk to passengers then go with a diff muffler. I tend to fly solo with my crappy stereo blasting. :steering:
