Default Engine Color

i heard rumers and some web pages that the early 77 corvettes had the chevy orange color and later 77s had the blue. can anyone confirm anything? :hurray:

Between August 23 and September 7, 1976, the Flint, Michigan Engine Assembly Plant changed the paint colors used on Corvette engines from orange to blue. Some early production 1977 Corvettes were still built with the orange painted engines.. ;)

Inside your driver door below the windshield post should be a body and trim plate. What are the numbers there?

Your VIN# would indicate a production date falling in the first week of Oct 76'.

i was looking on your site how do u get all this info on what the car came with options and all i think u did a good job on your 77 looks very nice i would like more info on mine options and all now as for the trim 642 I0Lpaint on the side tag could u help me with more info on the car just curious since u got all the specs on yours thanks also sent u a instant message :cheers:

Sorry for the delay. 642 is light buckskin. 10L is classic white laquer. There is one more number you need and that is located after chevrolet on the tag. This is the build date. Letter number combo.
