just to show you guy's that don't have snow.

This was Lake Tahoe Nevada right after Christmas!

One year where I lived at my house the snow was 20 feet deep at 7200 feet. This picture is at @8000 feet elevation. Lake Tahoe is @ 6200 feet above sea level.

I wanna go for a ride in that thing more badly than you could possibly imagine. Any track events in California that you're thinking of going to? Maybe one day this summer I could help you out at something in Nevada.

Lemme know!

My 79 has a good time 383 ci motor that I refurbished less than a year ago and only has @2000 miles on it.

In the right hand side of the picture is a wooden box with my long block Motown 427 SBC It's basically ready to stuff in. I just didn't want to take any parts off my 383 other than the carb and ignition. Those pistons in front of the compresser are for a 396 ci SBC 4.030 X 3.875 There is no reason to ever build a 383 when a 396 costs the same to build.

Steve They cancelled the NASA sanctioned road races at Thunder Hill this spring. Find out if there is some event at Sears Point and you and the rest of the south Bay guys would like to go to. This might be fun to go see!:)

Stoge - this picture is taken about 50 feet away from the above snow picture overlooking Lake Tahoe last summer.

Steve my car is kind of hard to get into or out of with the roll cage. So I don't know if you would fit in it. Another idea might be just getting all the forum members to meet up at one of your local Auto-X events.

Not sure if NASA is gonna be doing anything this year. I'll look into Sears Point. The ALMS should be there again this year, right?

I'd be willing to give it a shot with the roll cage. I remember it being there but couldn't remember exactly where it landed in the passenger footwell...

...well, there's always letting me drive it, right? ;)

And you guys talk about us in the great white north?  Compared to you we don't get snow. If I ever got 3 honest feet it would be a first. I have about 2 feet on the yard and that is considered alot of snow. Sure banks get high along the driveway if you shovel but for honest snow we don't get that much. I haven't shoveled/blow my driveway in the last month.
We need more snow. The snowmobile trails are becomming bare.
George my altitude is 1180 feet.
Our latitude is roughly the same as northern california.

Yeah - not much snow here this year, either. Well, just enough to have some
fun on the 1981 Kawasaki 440. Nothing like last year, when I had a pile of
plowed snow the size of a bus.

Tahoe is awesome. That was the best part of my honeymoon many years
back - which went from SanDiego - Beverly Hills - and Tahoe. SanDiego was
cold in June, Beverly Hills (and LA in general) sux, but Tahoe was great
with temps near 90 on the lake and snow at the tops of the peaks.

NHvette don't tell me your problems. If lake Tahoe was the best part of your honeymoon I feel sorry for your wife

Just kidding I am sure it would be beautiful. The furthest I got was Las Vegas and in the summer. The desert was beautiful but 115 was not.

Absolutely. The automobile you see pictured there has seen the other side of 200mph.

Pretty good setup there, George. All you are missing is a little woodstove and a small refrigerator for the adult beverages to attain perfection.

I, too, am suffering mightily from Spring fever.

45ACP - It's an odd shaped three car garage with shorter single door area where I put the Vette. The refrigerator is just on the other side of the wall so I don't have to walk very far to get another cold one. I don't really need a stove because the gas furnace and the water heater always keep it above 60 degrees if you keep the doors shut

As for the wing - I don't think that a little down force really slows it down. Way back when i bought it I was told that it causes over 400 pounds of down force at 120 mph.

The top of this ski run starts at something over 9000 feet It's one of the dozen or so ski resorts in the lake Tahoe area.
