Need Some Radio Dial Cord
I was fooling about with my original 1967 AM/FM radio and cut the cord that shifts tuning from AM to FM. Apparently that is a speciality string called "dial cord." Could anyone mail me about a foot of that product?

I used dental floss to repair one of those FM tuners you put in an eight track player back when. (No my name ain't Bubba and yes I am that old) :lol:

Just out of :confused: it is not an actual switch that changes it from AM to FM and back? Thought the cord was only used for the station switching. I had a home stereo in college that had the cord channel changer and when the cord stretched and would not allow channel changing I took the **** off the front and cut a hole in the side and attached the **** directly to changing mechanism since it was nicely located right inside the casing. Things you do do hear some good tunes when your broke. :)

It a rotary dial, mechanical, spring-loaded system controlled by the cord. AM/FM switching is by the slide selector that is attached to a mechanical cord/pulley setup. Because it is spring-loaded, it has defaulted to FM.
