After installing the driveshaft ( I have the keisler kit) I noticed that the u joint on the tranny side sits realy close to the tunnel. Someone told me that the tranny should sit at a slight angle but how close does everyone elses sit to the side of the tunnel? I don't see how I can adjust it without elongated the hole on the bracket. Anyone else have this problem?
Re: Question for you tremec installers (TTop Tony)
From what I have read here and elsewhere you want the angles to equal and opposite for the tranny and rear diff meaning if the tranny points 3 degrees toward the passenger the rear diff should point 3 degrees toward the driver side, same goes with up/down. You want to keep the angles to less than 3 degrees from centerline but not 100% centered (pointing directly at one another).
Re: Question for you tremec installers (TTop Tony)
Here's how mine came out..no clearance issue..remember that the engine in the C3 is offset 1" to the passenger side of the cars centerline...or soemthing like that anyway
Well mines definitly off compared to yours but only by a half inch or so. I didn't realize it was offset from the factory. I think I can grind a bit from the new tranny mount to get it to line up. Ok I feel less frustrated now.
If you don't mind me asking fauxrs doesn't the extreme curve of your exhaust pipe coming from the headers and to the sidepipes prohibit flow and lose a bit of HP?
