:skep: How do you put 432 miles on a car that has NEVER been titled? :skep:
This is a really great question. Why would someone drive a car so little and then not even wash it.? IF someone is the type to baby a car to that degree, it stands to reason (in my mind) that they are also the kind to pull it out each Sunday and wash and wax it. Especially, an old guy from Statin Island (hey, I am a New Yorker- I can say this!) So, I smell a rat - besides the 454. :)
Hi everyone. The guy that owns this car is a good friend of mine. I talked to him this morning about the listing.
Just let me tell you some of the facts.
It IS the real thing. He purchased this car back in 72 from a Staten Island dealership, drove it one month and parked it. It has never been registered.
All his friends, including me, thought he was nuts. But now in hindsight was he?
He owns a few Vettes and doesn't drive any of them. I break his chops constantly about it but to no avail. I thought when I got my 61 that it would motivate him but it didn't.
The 61 is NOT for sale.

Re: Check This car Out!!!!! (plaidside)
Since I started this thread here is my two cents. If they got this car running that it could be driven. You all may laugh but if this car was at Barrett-Jackson two weeks ago it would bring more than the $60,000 he has it listed for.
I hope that it is an all original car, but to me the seats look like they've got more than 500 miles on them. Unless the owner has gone to sit in them every other day or so for 30 years.
